Dublin on a Rainy Day

You’re staying in one of the great value Travelodges in Dublin, looking forward to exploring all the city has to offer, and the heavens have opened. Don’t be dismayed – there’s no reason why you can’t still enjoy Dublin to the full. Take a look at some of our favourite rainy day activities in this vibrant city:

National Aquatic Centre

At Europe’s largest indoor water park, AquaZone, it doesn’t matter what the weather is like outside. With high octane rides, the lazy river and a wave pool, you’ll have a blast whatever the weather.

The Ski Centre

Dublin’s Indoor Ski Centre is a great place to learn to ski, brush up on existing skills and have fun on the slopes. Nearby is the Children’s Museum and Rainforest Adventure Golf, so there’s enough activities in the immediate area to keep you out of the rain all day.

Butlers Chocolate Experience

Discover what happens in a working chocolate factory on this great interactive tour. With plenty of chocolate tasting opportunities along the way, this tour is a huge hit with chocoholics. Perhaps you’d prefer to pop into the Butlers Chocolate Café in Wicklow Street instead? Imagine a café dedicated to all things chocolate. Packed to the rafters with decadent delights from hot chocolate in a tantalising array of flavours, to signature sundaes or perhaps a slice of the Butlers Chocolate Temptation Cake.

 Traditional Irish Music and Dance

Why not spend the evening discovering the traditional music and dance of Ireland? With everything from traditional Irish dancing to the acclaimed ‘Celtic Nights’ show and much more besides, there’s bound to be something that will keep you singing, dancing and laughing until the early hours. The Irish are famous for their hospitality and sense of fun after all.

Whatever the weather, rain or shine, you’re sure to have an amazing holiday in Ireland’s enchanting capital city.
